(c) Website Transactions. At times, Efficient Logistics will need personal information regarding a customer or a prospect. For example to process an assessment, Efficient Logistics may need to know a customer’s name, mailing address and e-mail address, as further described in Section 2.
(c) Stored Information Uses. Efficient Logistics stores and retains information. This information is used to compile a customer’s purchase history in order to: enable Efficient Logistics to recommend products, services, or special offers that would be of interest to a customer; to support customer interaction with the Website; to deliver customer purchases; contact customer again about other Efficient Logistics services and products; and more.
(a) Within Corporate Organization. Efficient Logistics may share your personal information within the Efficient Logistics corporate organization, and may transfer the information to countries in the world where Efficient Logistics conducts business. Some countries may provide less legal protection for customer personal information. In such countries Efficient Logistics will still handle customer personal information in the manner described herein.
(b) Mergers and Acquisitions. Circumstances may arise where for business reasons, Efficient Logistics decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its businesses in the United States or some other country. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of personal identifying information to prospective or actual purchasers, and/or receiving such information from sellers. It is Efficient Logistics’s practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.
(c) Agents. Efficient Logistics employs or engages other companies and individuals to perform business functions on behalf of Efficient Logistics. These persons are provided with personal identifying information required to perform their functions, but are prohibited by contract from using the information for other purposes. These persons engage in a variety of functions which include, but are not limited to, fulfilling orders, delivering packages, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance and providing customer services.
(d) Affiliated Businesses. Efficient Logistics works closely with affiliated businesses operating website stores, providing services or selling products on each other’s Websites. These businesses identify themselves to customers. Customer information related to a transaction with an affiliated business is shared with that affiliated business.
(e) Vendors, Consultants, and Third Parties. Efficient Logistics may share customer data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents (cumulatively “Third Parties”) who perform services for Efficient Logistics or on Efficient Logistics’s behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Efficient Logistics has contracts in place with Third Parties, which are designed to help safeguard customer personal information. Third Parties cannot do anything with customer’s personal information unless Efficient Logistics has instructed Third Parties to do so. Third Parties will also not share your personal information with any organization apart from Efficient Logistics. Third Parties also commit to protect the data they hold on Efficient Logistics’s behalf and to retain it for the period Efficient Logistics instructs.
(f) Disclosure to Governmental Authorities. Under certain circumstances, personal information may be subject to disclosure pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or orders.
(a) Third-Party Partners. Efficient Logistics partners with Third Parties to engage in analytics, auditing, research, and reporting on the Website. Third Parties may collect information regarding customer’s usage of the Website as described in the section above titled “Information that We Collect” and “Vendors, Consultants, and Third Parties.”
Efficient Logistics also partners with Third Parties to provide advertising services that are targeted based on customer’s online activities across websites and devices over time (commonly referred to as “interest-based advertising”). Third Parties may collect information about customer activities on the Website on customer’s current device and combine it with information about customer’s activities on other websites and devices. Third Parties may collect such information using server logs, cookies, web beacons, tags, pixels, cross-device linking, and similar technologies. For example, advertising Third Parties Efficient Logistics partners with may use the fact that customer visited our Websites to target advertising to said customer on non-Efficient Logistics websites on customer’s current device or on other devices customer uses.
(b) Privacy Policy of Third Parties. We currently use the services of the following third-party vendors, who may collect your information. You can click on the hyperlinks below to view their privacy policies, which may be updated from time to time. Efficient Logistics will do its reasonable best to update the links when the third-party vendor updates their link.
(a) Use of Cookies. Efficient Logistics and/or its Third Parties, collects non-identifiable and personal information through the use of various technologies, including “cookies.” A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier that a website can transfer to customer’s hard drive through customer’s browser. The cookie is then stored on customer’s computer as an anonymous tag that identifies the customer’s computer, but not the customer. Cookies may be sent by Efficient Logistics or its third party vendors. Customer can set its browser to notify customer before a cookie is received, giving an opportunity to decide whether to accept the cookie. Customer may also set their browser to turn off cookies; however, some websites may not then work properly.
(b) Use of Web Beacon Technologies. Efficient Logistics may also use Web beacon or other technologies to better tailor the Website to provide better customer service. If these technologies are in use, when a visitor accesses these pages of the Website, a non-identifiable notice of that visit is generated which may be processed by Efficient Logistics or by its suppliers. Web beacons usually work in conjunction with cookies. If customer does not want cookie information to be associated with customer’s visits to these pages, customer can set its browser to turn off cookies; however, Web beacon and other technologies will still detect visits to these pages, but the notices they generate cannot be associated with other non-identifiable cookie information and are disregarded.
(c) Collection of Non-Identifiable Information. Efficient Logistics may collect non-identifiable information from user visits to the Website in order to provide better customer service. Examples of such collecting include: traffic analysis, such as tracking of the domains from which users visit, or tracking numbers of visitors; measuring visitor activity on the Website; Website and system administration; user analysis; and business decision making. Such information is sometimes known as “clickstream data.” Efficient Logistics or its contractors may use this data to analyze trends and statistics.
(d) Collection of Personal Information. Efficient Logistics collects personal identifying information from customer during a transaction. Efficient Logistics may extract some personally identifying information about that transaction in a non-identifiable format and combine it with other non-identifiable information, such as clickstream data. This information is used and analyzed only at an aggregate level (not at an individual level) to help Efficient Logistics understand trends and patterns. This information is not reviewed at an individual level.
(a) Commitment to Online Security. Efficient Logistics employs physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the security and integrity of personal information. Billing and payment data is encrypted whenever transmitted or received online. Personal information is accessible only by staff designated to handle online requests or complaints.
(b) No Liability for Acts of Third Parties. Efficient Logistics will exercise all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of customer personal information. However, transmissions protected by industry standard security technology and implemented by human beings cannot be made absolutely secure. Consequently, Efficient Logistics shall not be liable for unauthorized disclosure of personal information due to no fault of Efficient Logistics including, but not limited to, errors in transmission and unauthorized acts of Efficient Logistics’s staff and/or Third Parties.
(a) Changes to Privacy Policy. Efficient Logistics may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If Efficient Logistics makes material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. Efficient Logistics encourages you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
(b) Your Rights. You have rights under data protection laws. However, these rights are not absolute, and Efficient Logistics may decline your request for such right as permitted by law. These rights include:
· The right to know if Efficient Logistics is processing your personal data;
· The right to access your personal data;
· The right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data;
· The right to request the deletion of your personal data;
· The right to obtain a copy of the personal data you previously shared with Efficient Logistics ;
· The right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights; and
· The right to opt out of the processing of your personal data if it is used for targeted advertising (or sharing as defined under California’s privacy law), the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects (“profiling”).
Some states also provide you with the following rights:
· The right to obtain a complete list of the Third Parties to which we have disclosed personal data and the categories thereof (as permitted by applicable law, including California’s, Delaware’s, and Oregon’s privacy law);
· The right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal data (as permitted by applicable law, including California’s privacy law); and
· The right to opt out of the collection of sensitive data and personal data collected through the operation of a voice or facial recognition feature (as permitted by applicable law, including Florida’s privacy law).
(c) Exercise of Rights. To exercise these rights, you can contact us by emailing us at info@efficientlogistics.co, or by referring to the contact details at the Contact Us page. Additionally, Efficient Logistics will honor your opt-out preferences if you enact the Global Privacy Control(GPC) opt-out signal on your browser. You may also review your rights under your state’s data protection laws to determine if any other rights are available to you, to which Efficient Logistics will comply with such laws.
(d) Your California Privacy Rights. Beginning on January 1, 2005, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits customers of Efficient Logistics who are California residents to request certain information regarding Efficient Logistics’s disclosure of personal information for their direct marketing purposes. Within 30 days of receiving such a request, Efficient Logistics will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. Efficient Logistics reserves its right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the address specified in this paragraph.
California’s privacy laws require a company to provide notice to California users of their rights to receive information on to which entities their information was shared for marketing purposes.
